Sam Nourani has been a physician with Digestive Health Associates since 2009. He was recruited to bring advanced therapeutic interventions in cancer care to the Reno community. Within the state of Nevada, he is the only gastroenterologist that can provide all interventional options for a patient. Some of these practices include staging & sampling of cancers via endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), incision-less resection of tumors (EMR), and endoscopy of the entire gastrointestinal tract (aka double balloon enteroscopy), Zenker’s diverticulotomy, amongst many other useful techniques.
His passion is also with nutrition and preventive medicine and has a radio show on the last Sunday of every month at 7:30 a.m., on FM stations 94.5, 104.5, and 105.7. There he provides practical lifestyle changes to achieve a healthier body and mind. In his free time he is a professor at the medical school and at the college of UNR where he provides a variety of lectures. He also serves as a medical director for both the advanced therapeutics department and the department of nutrition at a local hospital, and enjoys painting (some of which are presented here in our office!).
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his newlywed wife.
He encourages you to live a healthy and happy life.
